An Iowa City woman convicted of Lascivious Acts with a Child has been arrested after violating the terms of her probation.

26-year-old Dannylle Hillier of East Dubuque Street was living in Oxford in 2017 when she allegedly sexually abused a 13 year-old boy. Hillier reportedly went to the victims residence and performed a sex act on the boy, who told police that she held his hands down during the act.

The victim’s stepfather walked into the residence while the assault was taking place and saw the woman on top of his stepson.

She was convicted in May 2019 and was required to appear every six months for verification of her relevant information. According to a Johnson County Sex Offender Registry clerk, Hillier failed to appear for her verification in May and November of 2020 and again in May 2021.

A warrant was issued for Hillier’s arrest on June 25th. She was taken into custody Wednesday morning and charged with three counts of verification violation. Each charge is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a two-year sentence, meaning Hillier could get up to six years if convicted.
