North Liberty Police are investigating an armed robbery at Johncy’s Liquor.
Officers were called to the liquor store on Highway 965 just after 6:15 Thursday night. The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun. He’s described as a black male in his 20’s, standing approximately six feet tall. He had short braids or dreadlocks, and was wearing a black coat and black stocking cap.
The suspect fled south on foot, and then west from the business. Anyone with surveillance video from the area around the time of the robbery, or any other pertinent information, is urged to contact North Liberty Police at (319) 626-5724.
Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this incident, if an arrest is made.
