A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested on a warrant stemming from an alleged burglary of tools and welding equipment from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

The arrest report indicates that on the evening of November 1st, 32-year-old Jared Jensen of Tower Lane Northeast was at the facility and is seen on camera entering a locked portion of the hospital and exiting with over $3500 in tools and welding equipment.

A University of Iowa police officer identified Jensen from the surveillance video, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on November 23rd.  He was taken into custody Tuesday morning and his charged with 2nd degree Burglary, a Class C Felony. If convicted, Jensen faces a prison sentence of up to ten years.

This story has been updated identifying the correct suspect in the last paragraph, and correctly identifying a University of Iowa police officer as the one who identified the suspect.
