University of Iowa women’s volleyball coach Vicki Brown has been terminated.

In a release from Iowa Athletics on Thursday, Athletic Director Gary Barta said the department appreciates Coach Brown’s five years of service, and wish her luck going forward.

The release also stated that Brown was terminated without cause.

In her two-plus seasons as head coach, Brown’s Hawkeye teams compiled a 17-56 record. They’re currently 3-19 on the season with eight matches remaining. They host Indiana at XTream Arena in Coralville tonight and Wisconsin tomorrow night. Both matches start at 7 pm.

Assistant coaches Dave Brown and William Tatge will oversee the team while a national search for a new coach takes place.
