A Coralville man has been taken into custody after a warrant was issued on assault charges.

Police say the incident occurred June 16th at the Boston Way apartment of 32-year-old Frank Little. He allegedly  got into an argument with the victim, who told Little to leave. He refused to do so, causing the victim to start placing Little’s belongings in the hallway.

Little is accused of grabbing the victim and pushing them against a neighbor’s door, then putting his hands around their neck and squeezing for between 5 and 7 seconds. Little only reportedly stopped when the victim began to fight back. The victim was thrown to the ground and allegedly suffered pain to the head, right shoulder and shin, and left arm.  A witness reported hearing the victim being thrown against the door and saw Little running away from the scene.

A warrant was issued for Little’s arrest, and he was taken into custody Saturday night. He’s been charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail if convicted.

A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
