The University of Iowa has released its latest COVID-19 numbers.

In a letter to the UI community published Thursday, school president Barbara Wilson says that as of Tuesday the seven-day rolling average of self-reported positive tests on campus is ten. That’s down from 16 one week ago, and about the same as the 11 reported at the same time last year.

The seven-day rolling average of positive tests in Johnson County is 55 as of Tuesday, up from 42 one week ago and 20 more than the 35 cases reported at this time last year.

UI Health Care admissions are up slightly from last week, from 36 to 42. 85% of those are unvaccinated, and 80% are people from outside of Johnson County.

Wilson cites the Johnson County Department of Public Health for providing the data. She encourages students and staff to get vaccinated and to mask up in the classroom and during office hours.
