Urinating on the floor of an Iowa City laundromat before last Saturday’s Indiana at Iowa football game has led to a fine against a Hoosier fan.
Iowa City Police were called to Laundromania on East Bloomington Street just before 8:30 last Saturday morning for an intoxicated subject urinating on the floor. The suspect, 29-year-old Richard Ortiz of Hammond, IN, was found in possession of beer and admitted to recently drinking. His blood alcohol level was measured at .128%. A puddle consistent with witness accounts was found on the floor of the laundromat.
Ortiz pleaded guilty to a Public Intoxication charge and was fined $105.
