A second night of protests against the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity occurred Wednesday, this time at University President Barbara Wilson’s home.

The Daily Iowan reports that about 200 people gathered, calling for the fraternity to be removed from campus, the night after a protest drew hundreds to the FIJI house.

A walk out was followed by a sit-in protest in front of the president’s house at noon. The front of the house was lined with barricades, blocking access to the house and up to the front door.

Students also protested outside the fraternity residence and reconvened at Wilson’s house last night. The DI reports that chants included “You’re all guilty,” referencing the members of Phi Gamma Delta, and “You’re complicit,” referencing to University of Iowa administrators and their response to sexual assault allegations.

Police blocked off entry to Church Street from Dubuque Street and Clinton Street to prevent cars from driving through the protest, which ended at the Old Capitol building.  Speeches were given and signs were placed on the steps of the Capitol, which was also blocked by barricades.

The online petition at change.org calling for the abolishment of Phi Gamma Delta created Monday now has over 100,000 signatures. The Ban FIJI Forever petition, based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, created on August 25th, has over 431,000 supporters.
