A Lone Tree woman faces her third OWI charge after allegedly passing out in a stranger’s trailer.
Police say 38-year-old Ashley Bunting of 520th Street Southeast drove to the Modern Manor Mobile Home Park at around 8:15pm Thursday. She reportedly thought she was in Oskaloosa, and went to the trailer of a person she didn’t know and passed out on their couch.
Upon contact, Bunting was allegedly highly intoxicated. She had red, bloodshot watery eyes and showed indications of impairment. Bunting refused a PBT but submitted to a Datamaster test, showing a blood-alcohol level of .211 percent.
A check of her court records shows two previous OWIs; in Mahaska County from 2009 and Johnson County from 2018. She was charged with her third offense, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted.
