A transient with a history of violating no-contact orders once again faces the same charge after allegedly shaking a bottle of vodka at the protected party.

45-year-old Demetrius Casino Jones was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 7:45 Tuesday night. Iowa City Police say Jones approached the protected party on the 1000 block of Cross Park Avenue just before 10pm on July 31st and yelled at her as he waved a bottle of vodka in the air. He then fled on a bicycle when the woman called the police.

Jones has a history of violating no-contact orders. KCJJ news archives show a half-dozen stories about Jones violating no-contact orders going back to April of last year…some detailing multiple violations. Most of the incidents involved threats of gun violence.
