A Coralville woman who investigators say shot at another woman Friday afternoon on Bittersweet Court in Iowa City was arrested Tuesday in Oxford.

21-year-old Danielle Williams of 14th Avenue was a passenger in a Buick when police stopped her in the 100 block of North High Street just after 4:30 pm.

Williams had been identified by several witnesses when officers responded to the 2400 block of Bittersweet Court just before 5 pm Friday for a female reporting that Williams tried to shoot her. Officers located the victim, who was also identified by witnesses. She allegedly reported Williams approached her, began arguing with her, pulled out a handgun, and fired a round over her head. A shell casing and property damage from the bullet were located at the scene, and on Saturday the victim reported finding a bullet in her room.

No injuries were reported.

Williams allegedly had a bag of marijuana in a cigarette packet underneath her phone when she was taken into custody.

Williams has been charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure or Provoke Fear; two counts of Dominion or Control of an Offensive Weapon by a Domestic Abuser, and Marijuana Possession. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to up to 21 years in prison.
