A Cedar Rapids man faces charges that he broke into a Coralville home and attacked a resident with a stun gun.
The alleged incident occurred just before 9am Tuesday in the Western Hill Estates manufactured housing community on Highway 6. Coralville Police say 29-year-old Derek Moulds of Wilson Avenue SW entered the residence without permission and began sparking a stun gun to intimidate the victim. He then shocked the woman after she tried to defend herself.
The woman reported a red mark and pain where she was stunned. She also suffered bruising and marks on her left arm as a result of the altercation.
Moulds was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Burglary. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
