A North Liberty man who allegedly was seen by officers selling cocaine in the driveway of his residence last year has been taken into custody this week.
Police say 23-year-old Jussein El Zein of Jessie Street was observed the afternoon of November 5th making the exchange with an individual. Police were able to recover the substance and send it for testing.
Once the substance was confirmed to be cocaine, a warrant was issued on June 18th. El-Zein was taken into custody Wednesday and has been charged with a Class C Controlled Substance Violation that carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison if convicted. El-Zein has been released on his own recognizance and arraignment will be set for a later date.
