Coralville man accused of trying to break into next door apartment

A Coralville man already given a trespass and harassment warning on June 2nd was arrested for trying to break into the Boston Way apartment next door to his.

Police say 52-year-old Taylor Burrows attempted to enter the victim’s residence at around 6 pm Monday. The victim says that they saw the door handle being turned, and Burrows is accused of forcing his way through the door when the victim opened the door.

Burrows had to be forced out of the residence by the victim.

Police arrested Burrows and charged him with 2nd degree Attempted Burglary, 3rd degree Harassment and Trespassing. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to over five years in prison.

A no-contact order was requested by the victim.
