Almost 6 in 10 Johnson County residents have either been fully or partially vaccinated against COVID-19.

That’s according to the latest COVID-19 data released by the University of Iowa. Friday’s update indicates 58.36% of all Johnson County residents have received full or partial vaccinations. That includes 52.13% who are fully vaccinated.

Three new COVID-19 cases have been reported among UI employees over the last week, with no new student cases reported in that timeframe. One residence hall occupant is currently in self-isolation, and none are in quarantine. Self-isolation is used to separate people infected with the virus from those who are not infected, while quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others.
