High school students in the Iowa City Community School District will be able to get their first dose of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine on campus Friday.
KCRG TV reports that fewer than 100 students at each high school had signed up for an appointment Superintendent Matt Degner told the station that about 50 percent of the junior class was already vaccinated because they had access elsewhere. He added that appointments were still available for students 16 and older to receive the vaccine.
