The Iowa Board of Regents has announced the second finalist for University of Iowa president who will visit campus for two days beginning Thursday.
Barbara Wilson is executive vice president and vice president for academic affairs for the University of Illinois System in Urbana Illinois.
She received her degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, earning a BA in Journalism and a Masters and PhD in Communication Arts. She also taught at the University of Louisville and the University of California Santa Barbara before taking a professor position at the University of Illinois. She has been there since 2000.

Her open forum will occur at 3:30pm Thursday and can be streamed at presidentialsearch.uiowa.edu or at iowaregents.edu.
Wilson joins Hari Osofsky of Penn State University as one of the four finalists. The remaining two finalists will visit campus next week, and the Regents are expected to make their selection on or before April 30th.
