The Iowa City Public Library is adjusting its reopening plans in response to increasing cases of COVID-19.

According to a news release from the city of Iowa City, until further notice, computer sessions at the library will be limited to 30 minutes and browsing will be limited to 15 minutes.

Library officials say the adjustments were made after careful deliberation by the library’s Leadership Team and the Library Board due to increasing COVID-19 positivity rates in Johnson County. The 14-day average has been over 5%, which meets the Library’s established guidelines to adjust services.

For more information on the updated rules, visit icpl.org/covid or call the Library Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. or Sunday between noon and 5 p.m. at 319-356-5200.
