A Coralville woman who was supposed to deposit the day’s receipts from a fast food restaurant allegedly took the money home instead.

Police say that on December 19th of last year, 44-year-old Katherine Pihl of 2nd Street was employed at the Hardees on the Coralville Strip. That afternoon, she was supposed to take a deposit to the bank. Pihl allegedly admitted to taking the nearly $1600 home, and told authorities she no longer had the money.

A warrant for her arrest was requested, and she was taken into custody Monday evening. She was released the following morning, and awaits arraignment.
