Allegedly hitting a woman with his truck during a road rage incident has led to a North Liberty man’s arrest.

North Liberty Police say 62-year-old Roger Bowers of the Holiday Lodge manufactured housing community was involved in a dispute with another driver just after 4:15 Thursday afternoon on Holiday Lodge Road.  Video evidence allegedly shows Bowers aggressively back up his 1999 Ford F250, squeal the tires, then drive forward aggressively, striking the woman.

The woman told investigators she thought Bowers was trying to run her over. Bowers admitted to being the driver of the truck that hit the woman, and he provided his dashcam video of the incident.

Bowers is charged with Assault With a Dangerous Weapon and Reckless Driving. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in prison.
