CR man accused of sending email including sexually explicit photos to woman’s Iowa City employer

Allegedly sending sexually explicit photos of a woman to her Iowa City employer has led to a Cedar Rapids man’s arrest.

37-year-old Aaron Anderson of Buckingham Drive NW was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon on a charge of 1^st Degree Harassment. Iowa City Police say that just after 8:30pm on September 23^rd Anderson emailed the woman’s employer using a fake name. He claimed the woman had propositioned him, and he attached photos showing the woman in a state of partial nudity.  The woman did not consent to the sharing, dissemination or distribution of the photos.

Police seized Anderson’s phone. They say it contained the sent email as well as the distributed photos.

If convicted, Anderson faces a maximum of two years in prison.
