The top-ranked University of Iowa Wrestling team is pausing activities due to positive COVID-19 test results within the program.

As a result, the meet at #4 Penn State scheduled for this Friday has been postponed. Both schools will work with the Big Ten Conference to reschedule the meet.

Last week, head coach Tom Brands tested positive for coronavirus and quarantined as his wrestlers swept the triangular meet at Purdue against the Boilermakers and Ohio State on Sunday. In a statement Monday, Brands said the program will continue to follow Big Ten protocols and look forward to a return to training and competition.
