Cedar Rapids firefighters extinguished a garage blaze Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called to an address on Soutter Ave. SE just before 10am for a report of smoke coming from a two-stall, detached garage. According to a CRFD news release, arriving firefighters encountered heavy smoke, located the fire and quickly extinguished it.
At least one person was home at the time. There were no injuries. Damage is described as “moderate”, and no one was displaced.
The fire remains under investigation.
