The University of Iowa could have a new president by the end of April.
That’s according to a timeline released by the presidential search committee on Friday. The timeline indicates the committee hopes to name semifinalists for the position by March 22nd, interview them and name finalists by April 6th and 7th, bring finalists to campus between April 19th and 23rd, gather feedback from the UI community through April 29th and name a new UI president by April 30th.
Advertising for the open position begins on January 14th.
Current president Bruce Harreld announced in October his intention to retire. He said he would stay on in the position until his replacement could be chosen.
