IC man with multiple previous drug-dealing convictions arrested after over 1 pound of marijuana, dozens of ecstasy pills  found in residence

Iowa City Police say a man with multiple previous drug-dealing convictions has been charged after over a pound of marijuana and dozens of ecstasy pills were allegedly found at his home earlier this year,.

According to arrest records, the ICPD served a search warrant at the Rundell Street residence of 30-year-old Percy Williams around 4pm on February 3rd. Officers say they discovered over a pound of marijuana, 31 ecstasy pills, packaging materials, scales, and a large amount of United States currency during the search.

Williams reached a deal with prosecutors on an intent to deliver charge in Iowa in 2016, and he has multiple intent to deliver charges out of Illinois from 2005 and 2006, as well as several possession of a controlled substance charges out of the same state.

Williams is now charged with two Controlled Substance Violations and two counts of Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
