Cedar Rapids Police investigating Sunday shots fired incident

Cedar Rapids police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred late Sunday morning.

According to a media release from the CRPD, several reports of shots fired were called in at 11:23 am from the 900 block of 14th Avenue Southeast.

Arriving officers located and collected multiple shell casings, and discovered an apartment in the 1200 block of 15th Street Southeast was damaged from the incident.

Police say a vehicle connected to the incident was stopped by officers and impounded for the investigation. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
