The Cedar Rapids Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in the identification of a witness to a serious assault incident.
The incident happened Thursday, September 17th at about 1:40am in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue Southeast. An adult male was seriously injured during the assault, and surveillance video of the area shows a female seeming to record the assault on her cellphone.
Police are seeking out the woman as part of the ongoing investigation.
