Governor Kim Reynolds has extended her bar closure order for Johnson and Story Counties.

That announcement came Friday. On August 27th Reynolds ordered all bars, taverns, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and nightclubs closed in Johnson, Linn, Black Hawk, Dallas, Polk and Story counties until at least September 20th, citing high COVID-19 rates in those counties. Earlier this week she lifted the order for all but Johnson and Story Counties, home of the University of Iowa and Iowa State University. On Friday, the order for the two counties was extended to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, September 27th.

The latest order extending the closure can be found at the Governor’s website.
