Hills woman arrested on drug warrant

A Hills woman was taken into custody early Friday on warrants stemming from a June incident in Tiffin.

Police say 20 year-old Tasha Rodriguez was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on James Avenue Northwest and 270th Street Northwest June 13th around 11:30pm. After a K9 alerted positive to drugs in the vehicle, a probable cause search was conducted. Officers seized approximately 2 grams of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine and two glass pipes. The items were found in a bag belonging to Rodriguez.

A warrant was issued for her arrest on July 22nd; she was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 3am Friday. She’s been charged with possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, she could be sentenced to over two years in prison.
