The Linn-Mar Athletic department has announced that they will ban spectators from Iowa City Community School District schools during any games that are played there with Iowa City teams.

In a Twitter post Monday, they said they will respect the decision of the city’s school board in their determination to not allow any Iowa City spectators at their events. That includes events that Linn-Mar hosts against Liberty, City High or West High.

City High’s football team  is scheduled to play at Linn-Mar on October 2nd;  West and Liberty do not play at Linn-Mar in scheduled regular season football this fall. No Iowa City volleyball teams play at Linn-Mar this season.
