2 motorcyclists injured in I-80 crash near West Branch

Two motorcyclists were injured in a late Thursday night crash near West Branch.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a group of ten motorcyclists were traveling westbound on Interstate 80 near the West Branch exit just after 10pm when two lost control and crashed into each other.

34-year-old Raymond Bethancourt of Reading, Pennsylvania was ejected onto the roadway. 36-year-old Hannibal Flemming of Allentown, Pennsylvania went into the ditch.

Both men were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics by Johnson County Ambulance. Their conditions have not been released.

The accident remains under investigation by the State Patrol.
