Iowa City Police have arrested a transient they say was flashing pedestrians downtown.

Officers were called to the Ped Mall in front of The Graduate just after 5:15 Tuesday afternoon for a man flashing his genitalia in public. Police say the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Samuel Warwick, showed multiple signs of intoxication and had uncoordinated movements and rigid muscle tone.

The alleged victim told police he saw Warwick’s genitals and found the sight offensive.

Warwick is charged with Indecent Exposure and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
