Iowa City’s new downtown Target store will hold a grand opening on Sunday.
The store is similar to about 100 other smaller stores in other cities across the country, including several in college towns. The Iowa City store takes up about 24,000 square feet, making it much smaller than a normal Target.
The new Target is at 113 East Washington Street, across from Bo James. It’s expected to employ about 50 people.
Hours are 7am to 10pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 9pm Saturdays and Sundays.
