Iowa City Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured Thursday night.
According to an ICPD news release, at about 9:53 p.m officers responded to 1722 H Street for a report of an adult male who had been shot in the leg by another person. The victim was treated by first responders at the scene, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
This act is not believed to be accidental or random and there is not thought to be a heightened public safety risk.
No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation.
