The City of Coralville has lifted the curfew it had imposed earlier this month in response to looting and vandalism. Mayor John Lundell said in a statement the curfew was effective in curbing violence.

Coralville announced the curfew on June 1st. The move came less than a day after the arrests of nine people for looting Walmart and attempting to loot Coral Ridge Mall.

As part of the curfew being lifted, Coralville Transit’s night route has resumed service at Coral Ridge Mall (#4420) after 9:00 pm.
