State health officials said 13 more people with COVID-19 have died in Iowa to give the state a total of 265 deaths.
The Iowa Department of Public Health said Sunday the number of coronavirus infections in the state grew by 287 to a total of 11,959 cases of COVID-19.
Polk County has the most confirmed cases, with 2238, followed by Woodbury County at 1627. Linn County is at 827, Johnson at 551, and Muscatine County at 488. 93 of 99 counties have at least one confirmed COVID-19 cases.
46 new people were hospitalized with coronavirus, bringing the total to 413. 157 patients are in ICU, a drop of four from the previous day. 105 are on ventilators.
30 long-term care facilities are now suffering from outbreaks, 40% of which are concentrated in Polk and Linn counties.
5154 people are recovered from the virus, a rate of 43 percent.
The actual number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected with the virus without feeling sick.
A sixth TestIowa site opens today in Davenport at North Park Mall, from Noon-6pm through tomorrow. People who take the assessment at the TestIowa website and are flagged can be tested at the sites.
