The suspect who allegedly shot two people last month at Associated Materials in Cedar Rapids is now behind bars.
Cedar Rapids Police say 26-year-old Jamal Devonte Edwards was booked into the Mobile, Alabama County Jail just after 4:15 Friday afternoon after being brought there by his father.
Edwards was the suspect in the shooting that injured 36-year-old Mark Robertson. Police say Edwards went into Associated Materials on Beverly Road Southwest just after 5am on April 9th, shot two people and fled. The victims’ injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
Edwards is charged with Attempted Murder, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Going Armed with Intent, and Willful Injury.
