Cedar Rapids Police have released more details on the shooting death of a teenager that occurred in the early hours Wednesday morning.
Police responded to the 200 block of 15th Street Northwest at about 12:25 am for a report of multiple shots fired. Arriving officers found a male with gunshot wounds down on the street.
Officers initiated emergency medical care, followed by personnel from Area Ambulance Service. Shortly thereafter, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
That victim has been identified as 16-year-old Judeah Dawson.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
