ICPD report another shots fired incident

Iowa City Police responded to another shots fired incident overnight.

According to a release from the ICPD, officers were called to the area of 648 South Dodge Street at 1:14am Tuesday. Investigators found evidence that multiple shots had been fired, but no injuries were reported, and no property damage was immediately located.

Police are asking anyone with security cameras in that area to review their footage and contact them if they see something that might help in their investigation. In addition, citizens who might be able to identify anyone involved in the incident can call the ICPD at 356-5276.

Officers are still investigating a series of shots fired incidents over the past few weeks; multiple reports of gunshots fired near Sandusky and Taylor drives the afternoon of February 19th; shots heard in the area of Wetherby Park on February 20th, and reports of shots fired near the 2100 block of Taylor Drive were called in just after 3am March 8th;
