IC Police looking for dog that bit 7-year-old

Iowa City Police are looking for a dog that bit a seven-year-old child on Saturday.

The child was bitten at the Thornberry Dog Park on Foster Road between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. The dog was described as a younger Doberman of unknown color.  The owner of the dog, who was described as a middle-aged white male wearing a black jacket and greenish hat, left the area immediately after the incident without having contact with the victim.  An attendant on scene confirmed that the owner of the dog displayed a valid permit to use the park.

Iowa City Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the dog owner involved with this incident.
