Trial date set for man accused of urinating on hotel chairs

A trial date has been set for a man accused of urinating on chairs in an Iowa City hotel lobby.

Iowa City Police were called to The Graduate on South Dubuque Street just before 3:15am on February 29th for a male urinating on fixtures. Staff told arriving officers that the subject had been urinating on chairs, and investigators did discover a puddle of urine. The staff also pointed out the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Adan Guerrero of Darien, Illinois.

Police say Guerrero showed multiple signs of intoxication. He allegedly admitted to being intoxicated, and provided a blood alcohol content of .175 on a portable Breathalyzer test.

Guerrero was arrested for Public Intoxication. His trial is set for April 23rd.
