Allegedly asking for his fake ID back from the officer who confiscated it from him earlier in the evening has led to the arrest of a Park Ridge Illinois man.

According to police, 19-year-old Ryan Pena approached the officer outside the Summit Bar Saturday at 1:30am and asked for the fake ID that had been taken from him earlier in the night. During the interaction, Pena was allegedly observed with multiple signs of intoxication, including bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong odor of ingested alcohol.

Police say Pena became argumentative and began to ignore commands. When told he was under arrest, he attempted to flee and allegedly was only taken into custody by force. An officer suffered pain and abrasion to a knee during the altercation. Pena refused a PBT.

Pena has been charged with interference with official acts causing bodily injury, and public intoxication. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
