A dispute over marijuana reportedly turned violent early Saturday morning, leading to an Iowa City woman’s arrest.
Iowa City Police say that just before 4:45am 44-year-old Catherine Hitchcock was at her Taylor Drive residence when she accused another woman of stealing her marijuana. Hitchcock allegedly hit the woman several times in the head, causing a cut on her lip and pain to the top of her head.
Hitchcock was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one year in jail.
