The Hy-Vee corporation has announced companywide changes that could include staff cuts.
The company sent out a news release Tuesday saying a new companywide effort called “Helpful Smile 2020” could include staff promotions, reallocations and reductions in the coming weeks. The move comes after the retailer announced an end to its 24-hour-a-day business model earlier this month.
The changes also include 30 of its store dietitians joining its corporate team to support health and wellness programs companywide.
Some Hy-Vee Store Directors will now be known as District Store Directors and will oversee multiple stores at once, overseeing Store Managers. Other Store Directors will now be known as Store Managers, who will oversee day-to-day operations of individual stores.
