A Coralville woman was taken into custody after allegedly running up nearly $1000 in charges on a stolen credit card.

According to police, 20-year-old Naeneka Nabria Richardson of Boston Way tried to use the card on June 4th, 2019  to make purchases for $307.98 and $17.06, but the transactions were declined. The next day the victim reported to police that numerous items were stolen from his vehicle, including the credit card.

Richardson was allegedly able to make an online purchase using the card for $61.84, and the items were delivered to her address. She was able to make a total of $968.36 in unauthorized purchases.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, and Richardson was booked into the Johnson County Jail Monday evening. She’s charged with unauthorized use of a credit card under $1000, an aggravated misdemeanor. If convicted on the charge, Richardson could be sentenced to a maximum of two years in prison.
