An Iowa City man has been charged with his second OWI after allegedly getting his vehicle stuck on a large rock overnight.

According to police, they responded to a third-party report of a crash in the area of Foster Road and Laura Drive around Midnight Tuesday. They came upon 35-year-old Florencio Atilano Narciso of the Forest View Trailer Court standing outside his vehicle.

Atilano Narciso allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, poor balance, and smelled of ingested alcohol. He reportedly told officers that he got stuck on a large rock about a half hour before their arrival and could not recall how it got stuck.

Atilano Narciso showed measurable impairments on field sobriety tests and recorded a blood alcohol content of .143 on a Datamaster.

He was arrested and charged with OWI second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if he’s convicted.
