The new clubhouse at the University of Iowa’s Finkbine Golf Course has been named.

In recognition of a leadership gift from 1961 graduate Mary Lee Nagle Duda,, the new clubhouse will be named the Nagle Family Clubhouse.

Work on the new clubhouse began last spring after it was determined the current clubhouse had seen better days and costs of updating the facility were deemed too prohibitive.

The 19,000 square-foot, two-level facility features a larger pro shop, a restaurant and bar, a banquet facility, an outdoor patio, locker rooms, underground cart storage, and the Nagle Room—a conference room and private dining space.

The Nagle family have been part of the Iowa City community for nearly 100 years; Mary Lee’s grandfather founded Nagle Lumber in 1922 and her father and brother were instrumental in the planning and growth of Iowa City.

BSB Design of Des Moines designed the new facility; the old clubhouse will see the wrecking ball next month.
