Coralville police say a shots fired incident early Sunday morning occurred in the same area of a shooting on Christmas Day.

Officers got reports of shots fired at 6:23am in the 900 block of Boston Way, and reportedly found three shell casings in the area. It’s unclear whether anything was hit or what the intended target was. They say no one was hurt.

The incident occurred in the same area where 30-year-old Gregory Jackson was shot and killed Christmas evening. Two other people were shot but had non-life threatening injuries. Police say it appeared that all the involved parties knew each other but they are frustrated at the lack of cooperation in the case.

No suspect or suspects have been identified in either incident.
