An Iowa City man wanted on multiple no-contact order violations now faces charges that he threatened police.

Officers were serving a warrant at the Scott Boulevard home of 41-year-old Christopher Starbuck just after 6:30 Wednesday night. Starbuck reportedly repeatedly told the officers he was going to kill them. Police say he was told to stop or he would be arrested for harassment, but he allegedly continued. As he was being placed under arrest, Starbuck allegedly thrashed at, kicked and pushed the officers.

Starbuck was wanted for multiple incidents during which he allegedly violated a no-contact order late last month. On December 27th he allegedly had his mother contact the mother of his child to set up him collecting items from a garage the couple had shared.  He also allegedly used Facebook Messenger to send the woman photos of their daughter.

Starbuck is charged with 2nd Degree Harassment, Interference with Official Acts and multiple no-contact order violations. If convicted, he faces a maximum of over 13 months in jail.
