The ninth-ranked University of Iowa field hockey team won a share of the Big Ten regular season title after defeating the No. 8 Michigan Wolverines, 1-0, in Ann Arbor on Sunday.
Iowa and Maryland are co-Big Ten Champions after recording 7-1 records in conference play.
Sophomore Lokke Stribos notched a goal off a corner in the 18th minute for the game’s lone goal. Juniors Ellie Holley and Maddy Murphy were credited with assists.
The Hawkeyes travel to University Park, Pennsylvania, to compete in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday and Friday. Action will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
